We have been working recently on our descriptive writing. The students were asked to describe a famous person without using their name.

I am writing about this person because all my school friends gossip about her. This person has appeared on five television shows, she also has her own fitness dvd.

This female has written an autobiography entitled, ‘Nothing but the truth.’ As well as being known for acting, she has written a few books, the most recent titles are ‘All that glitters’ and ‘A Christmas Gift’ however they are not well known amongst my friends.

In 2015, this person won the TV show, ‘I Am A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.’ and she also won the reality show Big Brother in 2016, and participated but did not win the TV show, ‘Come Dine With Me.’

This person is aged between 25-40 and was born in Newcastle upon Tyne.

This historical person served a good portion of his life for his protests against racism and segregation.

He worked to achieve equal human rights and a better future for everyone. He inspired me for his courage and wisdom in bringing people together to live in peace. He was not only a politician but also a civil rights leader.

He was the only one in his family to have an education. He attended a mission school and later in his life, the Fort Hare University and the University of Witwatersrand where he obtained his Law Degree.

This person was successful for never giving up, serving peace and for making a better future for everyone in his country.

Later in his life, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993. He wanted all people of his race to have equal rights in South Africa.

The person I have chosen to write about was a famous composer who died because of an illness in Vienna, Austria. This composer died during a thunderstorm.

This person is a really famous composer because he could make music even with his disability. This person would put his head in cold water before composing.

This composer was 5’3″ in height and had really bad skin and his father was a singer, although not that famous.

This composer struggled with his Math especially his multiplication and division and finished school at the age of 11. On this composer’s first trip to Vienna, he was asked to perform for Mozart.

When his brother died, he looked after his nephew and when he moved to Vienna their younger brothers followed. In 1792, this person made another journey to Austria, Vienna and studied Austrian composer, Joseph Haydn.

The most famous painting of this person is of him wearing a blue jacket and a red scarf with a white t-shirt.
